The Crescent, St Annes On Sea around 1905

The Crescent in St Annes On Sea is a railway bridge, lined on one side by buildings, most of which contain shops and on the other by the Crescent Gardens. The bridge was built around 1885, with the shops being added between 1887 and 1901. The gardens were opened in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee.

Today, The Crescent remains remarkably unchanged, although there are fewer trees in the gardens now.
